Sustainability & Climate Commitment

01

Planate-Aderas Joint Venture (JV)

The Planate-Aderas Joint Venture (JV) is committed to supporting Federal sustainability and climate objectives through responsible procurement, efficient operations, and environmentally conscious service delivery. Our approach aligns with FAR Part 23, GSAM Subpart 523.1, and the sustainability requirements of the Polaris Master Contract.
02

Environmentally Sustainable Products

When electronic hardware is procured as ancillary equipment in support of Polaris task orders, the Planate-Aderas JV confirms that all such products will be EPEAT® registered at the Bronze Level or higher, at a minimum. This commitment applies to products delivered to the Government, acquired for use at Federally controlled facilities, or furnished for Government use. To the maximum extent practicable, we prioritize products that are ENERGY STAR® or FEMP-designated, water-efficient, biobased, environmentally preferable (including EPEAT-registered or non-toxic alternatives), non-ozone-depleting, and made with recovered or recycled materials, consistent with EPA recommendations.
03

Sustainable Practices & Environmental Impact

The Planate-Aderas JV emphasizes sustainability through cloud-first delivery models, remote collaboration, and energy-efficient IT solutions, reducing both energy consumption and environmental impact. These practices minimize reliance on physical infrastructure and support long-term operational efficiency. Where applicable, the JV supports tracking of energy use and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions consistent with recognized frameworks such as the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and ISO 14064, with a focus on Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions and consideration of Scope 3 emissions as data maturity allows. Our goal is to reduce carbon intensity through continuous improvement, responsible sourcing, and efficient service delivery. If a formal Sustainable Practices and Impact Statement is published, the Planate-Aderas JV will notify PolarisSDVOSB@gsa.gov in accordance with Polaris Section H.7.2.
